Catherine and Nick

Here is the First Wedding of the year and my goodness what a lovely one.
Catherine came to me with no idea on flowers but she knew exactly what colour she wanted and style which was vintage as her dress was Charlotte Balbier Love Heart dress with lace and pearl details.
So the colour of the bridesmaid dress TwoBirdsBridesmaid came through for the flowers so being seasonal for february I decided to go with the dark Purple Anemonies, Thistle, Hyacinths with Avalanche Roses and Double spray Veronica finished with Variegated grass and Pearls.
For the Bridesmaid bouquet chosen just mainly creams Avalanche Roses, Thistle and Double Spray Veronica however this was made by my lovely friend Michelle who has been volunteering with me. With my guidance she made this beautiful bouquet.
Also Catherine had a little Flower girl and she wanted just something easy to hold so a playful wand with a single Rose attached.
Loving this image with Catherine wearing her wellies

All images were kindly given by DG Weddings.com and I have to say very impressed and will recommend to future clients.

What a fabulous place to get married Wentworth Castle in Barnsley.

Wentworth Castle Gardens is one of Yorkshire’s leading wedding venues and can offer civil wedding ceremonies, civil partnerships, receptions, banquets and other celebratory events.
Few venues can match Wentworth Castle Gardens for its beautiful historical setting, its lovely views over the Pennine foothills, coupled with our ability to turn your vision into reality.
From your initial enquiry through to the day of the event, our service and flexible approach will ensure that your day runs smoothly.
The 18th century Long Barn (pictured below) creates an unusual and intimate venue for your special day, with its high timbered ceiling and wooden floors.
Both the Long Barn and the attached St James Hall (a former Victorian family chapel) can be booked for receptions and banquets for parties of up to 100 people, and our lawns directly in front of the
historic Wentworth Castle are also available for marquees for larger
celebrations.

To finish what a fantastic car to be driven in! When Catherine said she was going to driven in a Citroen 2CV and just thought how fab as I secretly always wanted one.

Special thanks to Catherine who choose me to design her flowers and also to David Goodier from DG Weddings who supplied me the amazing images.

Mothers Day 10th March

Mother’s Day is one of the largest events of the year where children celebrate their Mothers that birthed them into existence, fed and clothed them.

Mother’s Day flowers are a symbol of beauty and love.

On Mother’s Day, having flowers for them is one of the more common ways that loved ones show their love to those Mum that have helped throughout the years.

Mother’s Day flowers not only express beauty and love, but they also express appreciation and gratitude for being there in good times and bad.  Mothers are always able to soothe that hurt and pain in a way that no one else can.  A mother’s caring touch can never be matched.
Honoring her with Mother’s Day flowers is not only a nice gesture.  It also shows how much you love them.  There are many different floral arrangements to choose from.  Just think how her eyes would light up with a bouquet of fresh cut flowers. Basket arrangements are also beautiful and easy to maintain.

Giving this token of love is one of the best things that a mother will cherish every year.  Even though Mother’s Day is only one day out of each year, everyday can be considered Mother’s Day because of how much they mean to us.

February Florals

Another month of fabulous floral fun.

February started with a 60th birthday celebration for my fabulous client Alison Mitchell, it  was her Husbands Bob's Birthday and they were celebrating at Mosborough Hall.

Alison didn't have a theme but Bob's favourite football team is Sheffield Wednesday so I suggested Blues and Whites Alison also wanted some scent in the room as Hyacinths are in season we both agreed.
