1940's Photoshoot

When Ruth from Sweetwords Stationary briefed me about the shoot she was doing I jumped at the chance. I love anything to do with 1940′s travel and the setting in the Royal Victoria in Sheffield was perfect. I loved being involved in these type of shoots you really get to know the suppliers involved and get to see different ideas. The offical photo’s by Anthony Naylor are brilliant and I am really pleased with how it all turned out.

The colour scheme I created was peachy pinks, burgundy’s and pinks.  I chose the perfect rose for the bouquet ‘s which was  Spray  Roses Ilse (which is a new variety not used before), Sedum Shadow, Cotinus Foliages with a touch of Eucalyptus. For the brides I included the White Hydrangea for more impact. I finished with raffia and pearls.

Gill's and Peter's Magical Wedding in June 2011

Another magical wedding and flowers by Boutique Paeony. This wonderful photography was by Big Box Photography. I would like to thank Andrew for these lovely images.

About the Flowers

It was so lovely to be asked by Gill to arrange her wedding flowers. She came in with a picture of Arums Lillie's and white freesia. So I gave her a Boutique Paeony twist with rolled leaves, looped steel grass finished with white satin ribbon and pearl detail.

The flower girls had smaller version to Gill's bouquet with smaller Calla Lily's (Crystal Blush) and white freeisa.

There was also some arrangements, pedestals and a long low arrangement of open oriental lillies and tropical foliages.

The Photographer

The photographs of the day were provided by Big Box Photography (see www.bigboxphotography.co.uk). The bride and groom had asked for informal photographs and so Andrew at BBP shot a reportage style album for them, spending much of his time in amongst the guests. More photos from the day can be found on his website.

The Magic Show

At the end of the day, the guests were treated to magic by Colin Robertson (see northeastmagic.co.uk) who had people enthralled with his trickery and great sense of humour.

Sarah and Mark Barker 9th July 2011

What a lovely wedding this was. Sarah came to me asking if she could mix vintage and contemporary so I came up with this beautiful selection of crisp Calla Lily's, Avalanche Roses and a touch of White Veronica finished with rolled leaves.

To add something really special Sarah asked me to include something old. So she gave me some Vintage jewellery that was her Nan's. This really made the finishing touches of this very simple but affective bouquet.

I would just like to add the Wedding Photography was by Sarah's brother Jame's Fletcher. I'm looking forward to seeing some more.

From Sarah

Thank you, my Wedding Flowers were perfect in every way. You put my special jewellery in which was done equally perfectly! And were defiantly a talking point to the day!

Lauretta Boutique Paeony, you provided my self, my Groom and wedding guests with a beautiful vintage /contemporary style bouquet, wrist corsages, and button holes, which were also personalised with very sentimental family jewels! please see photographs posted... and a huge thank you once again!xxxxx

1960's inspired photoshoot

I was delighted to be asked by Sweet words Stationery to be involved in a 1960's inspired photo shoot held in the Leopold Hotel in Sheffield.

Having looked at various mood boards by Ruth I came up with the idea of Yellow Roses, Yellow Gemini with a black centre and a touch or yellow Orchids and to give the bouquets a little twist rolled tiny leaves and finished with black satin ribbon.

How this all came together looked fantastic! The styling was by the fabulous Chloe at Adore by Chloe her unique, personalised and stylish photo shoots are perfect. The stationery was by Ruth at Sweet words stationery who came up with the  60′s idea from a stationery design she had created, the theme was yellow, white, black and a bit of grey.

The bridal wear was by Grace Couture their collections have been chosen with the greatest of care and consideration. You will find classic simplicity alongside vintage and modern in luxurious silks and delicate lace.

Hair Accessories was by Rachael at Tattered Rose and  has developed from a love of crafts and jewellery making pieces featuring an eclectic mix of Swarovski crystals, vintage beads, nostalgic images and artefact's. The pieces are designed to be talking points, sparking memories of times past whilst making use of materials that would otherwise be forgotten or thrown away.

Photography by the wonderful Anthony Naylor .They aim to capture emotion and magic in every image, to create a timeless shot of that one precious moment, to inject passion into each and every photo. While one couple may want their wedding photography to be natural, another couple may prefer more formal images.

The whole day was captured by Parkin Arts is a film production company specialising in bringing the "cinematic" to any project or event.

edge to any production.

And the yummy cake  was by Rachel Edwards who creates a romantic finishing touch to any wedding, high fashion celebration or society event.
